Petra Ringler dares another real adventure at the age of 65 and starts again halfway - in Karrenzin. The picturesque round village lies exactly between Hamburg and Berlin. The native of Hamburg bought an old farmhouse there. A challenge because she is alone, her budget is limited and the house is in need of renovation.

While others are retiring, Petra Ringler starts another real adventure. She bought a special property halfway between Hamburg and Berlin. Not an easy task, because the old farmhouse in the circular village of Karrenzin is in need of renovation, her funds are scarce and Petra is alone. But the Hamburg native tackles every challenge with resolute calm and wants to bring a breath of fresh air into the dormant village life. After a short time, Petra's neighbors became friends who support her in all her projects. Ulrike, also new to Karrenzin, uses her knowledge as a landscape gardener to help build a living willow fence. Together they buy benches so that people can finally sit in front of the 300-year-old church. Will Petra's dream of a May festival with a May wreath come true? In living together, however, different opinions also collide. East and West, old and young, then and now - that's where the perspectives diverge. Daniel Gawlik, farmer and deputy mayor, knows that too. Rather, his challenges are the management of a large agricultural business. As the largest employer in the community, he is responsible for 600 cattle and 1,500 hectares of land. He works non-stop for animals and plants. Important appointment with veterinarian Marion Hackbarth. She has to check a herd of cows for pregnancy. Luckily everything is fine with the calves in the ultrasound.
