Football matches deliberately lost, irregular penalty shots, paid-off players and referees – Bet rigging has become the biggest threat to clean sports, also and especially in the world of football. “Our experiences over the past two years have shown that there are no blank areas on the globe. We are facing a global problem,” explains FIFA’s director of security Ralf Mutschke.
